Fawn Mckay

Fawn MCK Brodie was born on September 15th, 1915 in Ogden Utah. Fawn MacKay, who was a member of the Mormon Church's original family, applied her brilliant abilities as a writer and her formidable abilities to research in order to produce the psycho-historical biographies about Joseph Smith. The book, No Man knows My History was published in 1945. This title was inspired by the funeral sermon delivered by Joseph Smith who was the creator of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. The preacher shocked the audience when he said declaring: "You don't even know my name. You have never known my heart." My story is not known to anyone. It is not possible for me to share it with you. Fawn an older woman, aged 29 has written: "Since that moment of honesty at least three scores writers have risen to the challenge." Some have attacked him, others have praised him, Some have experimented with clinical diagnosis it is not the fact that these documents lack information, it is rather that they are fiercely contradictory. The task of assembling the papers -in order to distinguish first-hand sources from a third-party plagiarism and then fit Mormon and non Mormon accounts together into a credible mosaic is no simple task. I find it both fascinating as well as eye-opening. Fawn brodie was highly committed to her work. Thaddeus Stewards was the outcome from her writing and study has made her a famous writer. "The Devil's Road" (1959) The Slaughter of the South. Thomas Jefferson. Richard Nixon and An Intimate historical history (1974).
