Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actor. She also has produced films, including Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. As a child living in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, she had lots of dreams. Her mom was a film buff and inculcated a love for movies in her daughter too. Paula participated in co-curricular classes at her school and loved drama. Her favorite part was being in stage shows along with her peers. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School gave her many opportunities to be an actor throughout her schooling and she decided to pursue acting to pursue a career. She attended the University of Southern California in an intensive summer course and loved her time there. She was awarded the PBS 3-month assignment to make documentaries. As soon as she completed her three-month task successfully, her first job was in the field of production for television documentaries. Next, she was going to start producing documentaries. However, she had always wanted to be an actor, even though she was happy at her job. Her career began in acting with a role as Will Smith's co-star on romance comedy Hitch. Since then she's appeared in numerous movies and shows.
