StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her first role was in Miss Bala (2011), which was a Mexican crime drama film. Her subsequent roles include appear in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016) as well as Annabelle: Creation (2017). In the television world, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both shows. Sigman was born to a Mexican mom and an American father, Lee Sigman, who is a New York Yankees scout. Through her father, she is an U.S. citizen. Her brother who is a baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman, was previously married to actress Barbara Mori Sigman began her career in the field of Mexican television, and later made her debut on film in Rio de Oro. In 2011 she portrayed the lead character in the film Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime drama film Miss Bala. [6] The film was chosen for consideration as the Mexican entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards. However, it did not make the final cut. [9] Sigman received a Dublin Film Critics Circle Award for her performance as film critic in 2011. In the following year, she played Catalina Aguado in the Canadian documentary film Flight of the Butterflies. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer which was which was a Norwegian thriller.
